Looking for something to listen to, watch, or read in comfort? We have a brilliant selection of audiobooks, DVDs, and large print books available to borrow — there’s something for everyone!
Audiobooks
Our audiobook collection covers a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles for all ages — perfect for listening at home, on your commute, or on the go. Children’s audiobooks are available to borrow for free, and concessionary loans are also free for eligible adult borrowers. A small charge applies for standard adult audiobook loans.
DVDs
Our DVD collection features a great selection of adult titles as well as short language courses — ideal if you’re learning something new! Please note that a small charge applies for all DVD loans.
Large Print
For those who prefer a more comfortable read, we stock a range of large print books so that everyone can enjoy a good story.

Books for Sale
Love your books but ready to pass them on? We’d be delighted to give them a new home! We gratefully accept donations of good-quality fiction and non-fiction books for adults and children, as well as complete jigsaws.
Donated items are lovingly displayed in the library for visitors to browse and buy for a small contribution — so your donation could become someone else’s favourite read!
Every donation and every purchase goes directly towards supporting and sustaining Stokesley Community Library, so it really does make a difference. Thank you!

Our Large Print collection is here to help! We want everyone to enjoy a great book in comfort, and our extensive range makes that easy.
What’s Available?
We stock a wide selection of Large Print fiction, including many of your favourite authors, alongside a carefully chosen range of non-fiction titles and biographies. Whether you enjoy a gripping thriller, a heartwarming romance, or a fascinating true story, there’s plenty to explore.
Can’t Find What You’re Looking For?
Don’t worry — if a title isn’t on our shelves, we can request it for you from the North Yorkshire Libraries catalogue. Simply ask at the desk and we’ll arrange for it to be delivered to whichever North Yorkshire Library is most convenient for you.

Our free Home Delivery Service makes sure that everyone in our community can enjoy a great read — wherever they are.
Who Is the Service For?
We provide personalised book deliveries to anyone who finds it difficult to visit us in person, including:
- Permanent residents who are unable to travel to the library or carry books
- Carers who are looking after others and find it hard to get out
- Temporary users who are recovering from illness or surgery and need a little extra support
How Does It Work?
We like to make it personal! Here’s what to expect:
- A friendly home visit — once you get in touch, one of our team will pop round to chat about your reading tastes and how we can best support you
- A hand-picked selection — we’ll carefully choose a selection of books tailored specifically to your interests and preferences
- Fortnightly delivery — one of our dedicated volunteers will deliver your new books and collect your returns every two weeks, so you always have something fresh to read.
