Can’t make it into the library? We’ll come to you!
Our free Home Delivery Service makes sure that everyone in our community can enjoy a great read — wherever they are.
Who Is the Service For?
We provide personalised book deliveries to anyone who finds it difficult to visit us in person, including:
- Permanent residents who are unable to travel to the library or carry books
- Carers who are looking after others and find it hard to get out
- Temporary users who are recovering from illness or surgery and need a little extra support
How Does It Work?
We like to make it personal! Here’s what to expect:
- A friendly home visit — once you get in touch, one of our team will pop round to chat about your reading tastes and how we can best support you
- A hand-picked selection — we’ll carefully choose a selection of books tailored specifically to your interests and preferences
- Fortnightly delivery — one of our dedicated volunteers will deliver your new books and collect your returns every two weeks, so you always have something fresh to read.
